DIN EN 207/208/12254 Norm
Laservision
Laser eye protection products require direct hit testing and labelling of eye protectors with protection levels such as D 10600 L5 (where L5 reflects a power density of 100 MegaWatt/m2 as the damage threshold of the filter and frame during a 10 secon

Conform to DIN EN 207 Norm

Filter and frame have to fulfil the same requirements.
It is not acceptable to select glasses according to Optical Density alone.
The safety glasses must be able to withstand a direct hit from the laser for which they have been selected, for at least 10 seconds (CW) or 100 pulses (pulsed mode).
Filter Glass
Laservision

Laser filter glass lenses for glasses and goggles for maximum optical density and protection.

  • VISION (L-05) - Good Vision and Good Looks
The model VISION is our most popular model for glass filters and coated plastic filters because it fits comfortably and can be indivi-dually adjusted.
The flexible Duo-Flex side pieces can be adjusted in length and angle to everybody's head shape, and the soft ends prevent painful pressure on the ears, even after a long day.
What makes the VISION so special is the curved filters (basic curve 5) which provide a wide field of view and a sporty look.
Due to the curved lenses, it is not suitable for all filters. It does not fit over correction glasses.
  • ECO7 (L-07) - Economical and Flexible
The frame style ECO7 was designed to offer particularly economical eyewear for glass filters. Whoever likes smaller models will like the ECO7.
The ECO7 is available with almost all glass filters and even with custom made filters.
The flexible Duo-Flex side pieces adjust to everybody's head shape in length and angle, and the soft ends prevent painful pressure, even after a long day. It does not fit over corrective glasses, but it offers an alternative.
Uniquely, this ECO7 frame style can be fitted with the RX-insert. The RX-insert is a small, metal frame which can be fitted with prescription lenses by a local optician, and easily clipped into and out of the ECO7.
Thus both prescription and laser safety eyewear can be combined into a single pair of glasses.
  • PROTECTOR (L-08) - Reliable Protection that fits over Corrective Glasses
We have come a long way from the look of the first laser safety goggles to the design of the PROTECTOR.
The first glasses looked like divers' goggles, and they were continuously fogging up because their side protection was good but extremely tight.
The PROTECTOR belongs to a new generation. It offers comfortable allround protection and also has small, cleverly devised vents.
Due to the angle of these vents they are laser safe and prevent the goggles from fogging up.
This frame style fits well over prescription glasses. The PROTECTOR is the best solution for all applications with multiple users of the glasses as in universities, or for protecting visitors.

    Why Laser Safety
    Laservision
The light from powerful lasers can be concentred to power densities that are high enough to evaporate metal or ceramics.

Why do we have to be Protected from Laser Radiation?

Consequently, it is not surprising that laser radiation also can cut or destroy human tissue.
There is another potential for danger : our eyes are particular danger as they are much more sensitive to light, and it is possible to irreversibly lose one's eyesight with just one glance into a laser beam even with lower power.
