Read more ... Continuously variable attenuation of linearly polarized light with the ABS or ABSO Continuously Variable Beamsplitter is achieved through the assembly of a rotating half-waveplate with a polarizing beamsplitter cube. S polarized light is conveniently reflected at 90º while P polarized light is transmitted straight through the assembly. The amount of transmitted light depends on the alignment of the waveplate and can be manually adjusted from 1-95%. The standard ABS variable laser beamsplitter utilizes a cemented beamsplitter cube (PBS) and multiple order half waveplate (QWPM). The ABSO high energy variable beamsplitter utilizes a multiple order waveplate (QWPM) and an optically contacted beamsplitter cube (PBSO).
Applications:
- Variable Laser sampling
- Holography
- Interferometry
- Variable ratio beamsplitting

Read more ... PCBS Fixed Ratio Cube Beamsplitters provide a choice of split ratios at a variety of narrowband wavelengths for specific polarization states. A durable all-dielectric partial reflection coating is used at the internal interface, and all external surfaces are anti-reflection coated for the wavelength specified. For best spectral performance and transmitted wavefront, fixed ratio cube beamsplitters should be used with collimated or near-collimated input light. T he PCBS and other cemented beamsplitter cubes are easy to mount, mechanically durable and ideal for use up to 1J/cm2.
Note that the product code for this product has recently changed from PCB to PCBS. CVI Fixe Ratio Cube Beamsplitters - PCB |

Read more ... BS1 high energy beamsplitters are plate windows coated with an all-dielectric coating to separate laser light into your choice of R/T split ratios. The BS1 high energy plate beamsplitters exhibit almost no absorption and are designed specifically for 45° at the wavelength and polarization of interest. Standard substrates have an anti-reflection coating on the second surface and a wedge of less than five arc minutes.
However, the beamsplitter coating can be done on any CVI wedged or plane parallel substrate to meet you application requirements.
- Reflectivity tailored to your exact requirements
- Beamsplitters centered at any wavelength, 193-2940nm

Read more ... PLB Pellicle beamsplitters are very thin nitrocellulose membranes bonded to lapped aluminum frames. The problem of ghost images is eliminated by the thinness of the membrane, since the second surface reflection, for all practical purposes, is superimposed on the first surface reflection.
These pellicle beamsplitters offer the absolute minimum in absorption, distortion, chromatic aberration, ghosting, and astigmatism due to their extreme thinness.
- 2.0µ thickness eliminates change in optical path length
- No second surface reflections
- No chromatic aberrations in converging beams
